A catch-all feature that is enabled for a certain email mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise put, if you delete an email address and somebody still sends an email message to it, or to any misspelled address under the very same domain name, you will receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be crucial if you are running some business, for example. Since you may start receiving spam, you can use the catch-all option with email filters in order to get only authentic messages in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

In case you host a domain name on our cloud web hosting platform and you’ve got a shared website hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all feature for any mailbox that you create under the domain. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section includes quite a lot of features, but it’s unbelievably easy to use, so configuring a catch-all mailbox requires just one single click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you have created will be enumerated in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll simply have to click the "Catch-all" button for the given email address. Our system will warn you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either disable the latter feature or select some other mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all option is just as easy and requires yet another click on the very same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all feature can be enabled easily if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you have set up with the domains hosted in the semi-dedicated server account will be listed in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will find a mini icon conveniently situated directly next to each of them. With only one click of the mouse, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking as long as there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with the option already activated and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable this feature using the context menu that will come into view. If any of the requirements for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will notify you, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
