Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME universal domain name extension is the single TLD intended for personal sites only. These domains can include personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other labels people are famous by. Initially, just third-level registrations were permitted, so if you wished to obtain john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already registered 3rd-level domain names remained functional.

Through our firm, you can reserve your .NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the opportunity to correct the WHOIS info, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an existing domain to our firm if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization key from the present registrar firm and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been finalized. There are no special terms on who can register a .NAME domain, but in order to maintain the goal behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may verify who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration may be challenged.

The dot NAME extension is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no further cost. In this way, your dot NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the proper spelling in your local language.
